Tough Times Don’t Last but Tough People Do.

Dear Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians, on this first day of the New Year, I am pleased to have the opportunity to convey, on behalf of MY DESTINY MY FUTURE ORGANIZATION (MDFO) family and on my own behalf, our best wishes to the Akwa Ibomites and to every Nigerian family.

Seeing a year gone by and ushering in a new year is always a moving experience. Each time, we take stock of the past year: happy about some things, sad about others, and hoping that many of our concerns will be left behind as we cross the threshold of the year and that our wishes will be fulfilled in this new year.

This is always a hopeful time, as we celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another. And while 2023 was difficult for many, we must also look back on this year with the knowledge that brighter days are ahead of us – that although our challenges are great, each of us has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them. It is this spirit that has kept MY DESTINY MY FUTURE ORGANIZATION (MDFO) dream alive for more than a year and half and it is this same spirit that will keep us alive for generations to come.

As a registered Multifaceted and Multilingual International Organization under the laws of Nigeria through the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with a mandate to build a life worth living: Meaningful, Purposeful and Productive, this New Year’s Day message affords me such an opportunity to speak for and on behalf of MY DESTINY MY FUTURE ORGANIZATION (MDFO) of which I am a part and privileged to be the President and to communicate our unreserved appreciation to everyone who has been our great pillar of standing with strength, our achievements and challenges in 2023 as well as 2024 Proposed Activities. 

AT THIS POINT, LET ME EXPRESS OUR UNRESERVED HEARTFELT APPRECIATION TO THE GOVERNOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE HIS EXCELLENCY PASTOR UMO END AND YOU WHO MADE OUR 2023 EVENTFUL, FRUITFUL & AMAZING:

Let me on behalf of the Executive and Entire Members of My Destiny My Future Organization (MDFO) most sincerely appreciate the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno in fulfilling most of his campaign promises of uniting the State across Political, Ethnic and Religious divides for greater development of the state. Moreso his dedication to maintaining law and order, ensuring our safety and security is highly recommended.

Equally, his commitment to public health and providing access to healthcare for all as well as remodelling and renovation of public schools for conducive learning and quality education for our children in the state are greatly appreciated.

I wish to respectfully appeal to the father of Akwa Ibom State our own Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno who is a good man with a good heart, a  man who always honours his words, *not to forget the Group Heads and their followers who also worked very hard to his success in the 2023 Governorship Election in his appointments and other engagements* to make them feel happy to be part of *the government they all worked for as this will help greatly in  their sustainability* for future engagements and utmost support.

They are the only set of critical stakeholders to your victory yet to be visited since your victory and subsequent swearing-in as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State on May 29, 2023.

AND TO YOU, WE SAY:

Thank you for helping us grow and placing your trust and confidence in our abilities. The knowledge and wisdom you've imparted on us has been a great help and support to us.

*You gave us a vision when others gave us targets.

You inspired us during difficult times when we needed words of encouragement. 

*You inspired us to pursue our goals with hard work and dedication.

 You've shown us the value of honesty, sincerity and trust in vision. 

*You're a wonderful personality, a rare gift to humanity, worthy of respect and admiration who knows how to bring out the best from your listener.* 

Thank you for helping us understand and appreciate our own worth.

*Thank you for seeing the best in us, transforming ordinary life into the extraordinary.* 

We are humbled by the quality and character and vision you've deposited in us. Nothing we can say will ever convey the amount of gratitude we owe to you. Your dedication, understanding, and time all mean so much to us.

*We are blessed to have you in our lives and for allowing us to share in your blessings is such a privilege we'll never take for granted. We got so much to learn from you in life. You've been there in all our endeavors.*

* It was full of challenges but without changing our hearts, spirits and mission;

* A year of disagreement to agreement for continuity in the journey; a year of countless mistakes and failures, yet still staying on

* A year we actively participated in 2023 General Elections - Campaigns, Mobilization, Voting as well as the swearing in of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno and also the Governor's Thanksgiving Service.

* A year we've been directional, purposeful, impactful and vision-driven evidently seen in Renewal of over half a million naira Office Complex Rent 2023-2024.

* A year we Officially Registered the Organization Business Department with CAC known as MDFO GLOBAL RESOURCES while the Political Department has already been registered with Bureau of Political and Social Re-Orientation, Akwa Ibom State in 2022.

* A year we've Successfully Celebrated Organization 1st Anniversary.

* A year we've Successfully Organized a Grand Reception in Honour of Hon. Clement Jimbo - Vice Chairman, National Planning & Economic Development, Nigeria House of Representatives, Abuja.

* A year  the Women Wing of the Organization - MY DESTINY WOMEN (MDW) was successfully registered with the Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Welfare, Akwa Ibom State

* A year we've Officially Launched and Unveiled Akwa Ibom Arise Entrepreneurship & Agropreneurship Society (AAEAS)

* A year we fully Participated in the Thanksgiving / Birthday Celebration of the Senate President - Sen. Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio CON.

* A year we've Successfully Registered 20 MDFO Local Government Chapters Multi-purpose Cooperative Society with the Akwa Ibom State Government through former Ministry of Rural Development & Cooperative now Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development towards building healthy lives and developing young and old, men and women to become useful and profitable citizens of our state and nation through Cooperative Society.

* A year we build directly and indirectly quality and responsible lives of our citizens through creativity and innovations, talents development etc.

* A year we hosted the first ever End of Year Get-together, Thanksgiving and Unity Celebration;

* A year we first ever Celebrated Christmas with less privileged Children

*And many others unmentioned here. To God be the glory!*

Furthermore, when you *define the vision, you determine the future*. When you *define the future, success is guaranteed.* This year 2024 will be a very interesting year for us as it will open a new chapter that will define us as a new generation of hope that will make our generation to be proud of.

*WHAT WE SEEK TO DO IN 2024 AS WELL AS VISION 2024 - 2027 STRATEGIC AGENDA*

* We shall reposition, repackage and refocus MDFO and make it most relevant and sorted out Organization for the development of humanity and society;

*In building blocks of visionary, creative and innovative leaders for the Organization and society, human capital development shall take prominent;*

*In April this year, we will celebrate two unbroken, undivided and untired years of existence. We will use the celebration to publicly appreciate and honour some extraordinary men and women who have been great Sustainable Pillars to the Organization as well as official Unveiling of the Proposed International Secretariat Building Projects.

*Official Inauguration of the women wing of MY DESTINY MY FUTURE ORGANIZATION known as MY DESTINY WOMEN (MDW) in the State and the 31 LGAs*

*Official Launch of VISION 2024 - 2027 STRATEGIC AGENDA and Inauguration of 2,274 Village Entrepreneurship/ Agropreneurship Cooperatives in Akwa Ibom State*

* We shall Officially Launch our Pioneer Magazine that will capture every member and activities of MDFO in its two years of existence as well as Pastor Umo Eno's physical deliveries and engagements since its assumption of office as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and such others from the National and State Assembly Members during the 2nd Anniversary in April, 2024.

* *Moreso, Students, Youth, Talent Development and Welfare Departments will be given priority this year, constituted and inaugurated as part of vision 2024 - 2027 Strategic Agenda.*

While the government of the day may well have some of these matters in its sights, those in the kitchen are feeling the heat daily and are not sympathetic to hackneyed excuses and promises of action, they want to see some demonstrable proof by those who are charged with the responsibility of improving their lives and addressing issues, working assiduously to formulate and execute plans, policies and programmes that redound to their benefits in the short, medium and long terms.

As an organization of men and women of ideas and action, *who were taught of the power of action and service,* We are ready to walk the lane together with the Akwa Ibom State and Nigerian Government to bring deliveries to all even in this uncertain period. We are resolute and unflinching in our resolve to show uncommon courage in the journey to bringing happiness and love to all.

*Our enthusiasm and determination towards making one's journey, our journey as well as his or her success, our promise is our ultimate goal and will not be diminished. We will do this by opening our souls instead of hardening our hearts.*

Once again, I wish every Akwa Ibomite and Nigerian a purposeful, prosperous and fruitful new year.
