THE LIFE AND SOARING OF AN EAGLE
LEARNINGS FROM AN EAGLE IN LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES
AS YOU START A NEW MONTH'S TRIP
1. Eagles soar alone and at great heights.
With ravens, sparrows, and other small birds, they do not fly.
Meaning: Keep your distance from constructive individuals who bring you down. With eagles, the eagle flies. Make wise companions.
2. The vision of eagles is accurate. They have the capacity to concentrate on objects up to five kilometres distant. The eagle will not change his attention from the prey until he has captured it, no matter what the challenges.
Meaning: You will succeed if you have a vision and stay motivated in the face of challenges.
3. Eagles don't eat things that are dead. They only consume live prey.
*MEANING: Don't rely on your prior accomplishments; instead, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.
*4. Eagles adore storms.
When clouds start to form, the eagle becomes thrilled and uses the wind from the storm to soar higher. The eagle uses the raging storm to raise itself above the clouds once it locates the wind of the storm. The eagle can now glide and rest its wings as a result. The other birds all hid in the tree's branches and foliage during this time.
Meaning: Face your obstacles head-on with the knowledge that they will help you grow stronger and better than before. Life's storms can help us achieve greater heights. Successful people aren't frightened to reach new heights. Successful people welcome challenges and make profitable use of them rather than being afraid of them.
5. Eagles prepare for training by removing the feathers and soft grass from the nest to make the young uncomfortable so they will finally fly when it is too uncomfortable to remain within.
*MEANING:Leave your comfort zone—there is no room for growth there.

6. As an eagle ages, his feathers lose their strength and are unable to lift him as high or as quickly as they should. He is vulnerable as a result, and he might pass away. He then moves into a remote alpine location to retire. There, in a very violent and agonizing procedure, he plucks off the frail feathers from his body and smashes its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare. Then, after spending some time in this hiding area to grow new feathers, beaks, and claws, he emerges from hiding and soars higher than before.
Meaning: No matter how challenging, we occasionally need to let go of old habits. Anything that makes our lives more difficult or meaningless should be let go of.
*Aim to be an eagle and NEVER GIVE UP.
